We believe that a better future is possible today, and it starts at the pub.
People Planet Pint is made up of hundreds of volunteer hosts making space in pubs in their local community to have conversations on sustainability.
Our mission is to bring people together in local pubs to start conversations about the world they want to live in – without lectures, judgment, or jargon.
We lead with conversation, because in a world of doomscrolling, going to the pub is action.
Our Vision?
A buzzing monthly meetup in every town, city and village in the world.
69% of people in the UK are neither climate activists nor deniers.
Between 80–89% of people globally want their governments to do more on climate change.
Our audience is the persuadable middle: the quietly concerned who aren’t acting yet, feeling alienated and unwelcome in other spaces. They are the everyday “normal” people outside of the sustainability bubble.
We don’t need to convince those who are already committed to the cause, and we don’t need to waste our energy on climate deniers and those seeking to delay action. Panels and presentations don’t change behaviour – conversations do.
There are millions of people in the UK alone who want to see a better future made possible today, and that starts by us getting them into the pub to talk about it.

People Planet Pint started as an extension of Small99.
Small99 works with small businesses and helps them become more sustainable. Small businesses make up our local communities and are a huge part of the UK economy, yet are often overlooked when it comes to support on becoming more sustainable.
For years Small99 ran training, workshops, and designed tools for small businesses.
But we found that the real change was happening at the pub, over a pint.
So now we’re focusing our efforts on building People Planet Pint instead!
So if you see Small99 on our branding, that’s where it comes from. Small99 Limited is the legal operator of People Planet Pint.
our VALUES
We’re frustrated by watching people complain about their local environment without doing anything about it; a better future is possible now so let’s make it happen, together!
It may feel like a casual pub meetup, but over years these groups form into powerful local influence that can change their local environment for the better.
You only need to reach 15% of the population to tip a system. Telling people facts doesn’t drive behaviour, sharing ideas over conversation does. Did you go on a city break because of facts about a city, or because of a conversation started with a group of friends in the pub?
People Planet Pint is positioned to take people from outside of the bubble and show them what’s going on inside it. The branding, tone of voice, choice of venues are all designed to be a friendly, approachable face to an often uncomfortable industry.
We also need to accept that climate change is happening to us already. Change starts with local communities wanting a better future and discussing the solutions to improve daily lives, rather than just moaning about it.
For too long, going for a pint has had a blokey, right wing image. Yet we know that plenty of people enjoy a pint and most people in most pubs are concerned about the impacts of climate change – so let’s meet them there and reclaim the pub as a positive community space!
